Is Divorce And Remarriage permissible For Christians?
Written by admin on March 13th, 2010It seems that Jewish men have a lot of divorce, for whatever reason it seems. Because women had no power in this society, who had been exposed to the extreme left to the whims of men. This caused a stop of some of the abuses.
Nowhere in the Bible, has God said that divorce is a good thing. In fact, says very clearly in Malachi 2:16, that He hates divorce. The word hate is the worst feeling that maybe someone or something, and that God uses to express his feelings on the matter. In Mark 10:6-9, Jesus tells us part of the justification for the use of the word when he says that this is what God has joined together with a man not separate. This is a bit difficult to understand why, even after marriage, we are still two people, but somehow in another area, which in reality are one and God will not separate.
God does not mean, however, that people who divorce in sin. He says in Mark 10:11-12, the sin that happens when people get married again as well. Therefore, there are times when a Christian can not be dissolved is married to an adulterer and again, with gratitude to God, some exceptions.
The first is Matthew 5:32, where Jesus tells us that a transaction will allow marital infidelity, divorce and remarriage, not the consequences of sin.
Does this mean that the couple should try to solve things, not absolute, as James 4:17 says clearly that we do good, as we know, but we will be released when it is not.
The second passage is 1 Corinthians 7:12-15, which discusses the issue of the believer, is married to an unbeliever. The Lord tells us that as the unfaithful wife is willing to live with the faithful, not to divorce. He continues that if the unbelieving spouse wants out, let’s do it, and the faithful are not bound by marriage. You are free to marry is not a consequence of sin in their lives again.
We can therefore conclude that, probably two reasons for a Christian to divorce, and there is an adulterer, sexual infidelity remarried and if living with unfaithful husband wants more in marriage. It seems we live in a society hold in places very little emphasis on marriage, divorce, at the time of Moses, for some reason they see fit.
How can we stop the madness around us, only through the redemptive work of Jesus? Hebrews 7:25 tells us that Jesus is alive, ask for mediation to us, we?
